Weight vs Volume
Unless otherwise specified, our glitters and mica powders are packaged by net weight for your benefit. Here's why:
Most standard glitter shakers are 4 ounce bottles, meaning they hold a volume of 4 fluid ounces. However, they only hold about 2 ounces of the average glitter by weight. In fact, some glitters only fit about 1.75 ounces in a 4 ounce container. We pack by weight so you know exactly how much you're getting. After all, why pay for 4 ounces if you're only getting 2?
Because different glitters and even micas vary in their weight and volume, you may notice some jars aren't as full as others. This is normal. That just means it is a heavier product than (or not as airy as) others.
